What are all these numbers?

As you click through the Performance data on the top menu you will see a myriad of graphs and table data.  It might be self-explanatory if you are familiar with trading systems, but if not there may be questions you need to answer.  Like what’s a “Sharpe Ratio”? And should I worry about the “Ulcer Index”?

In that case, here are few places to look.  First, the FAQ section has quite a bit of explanation about what a trading system is, how it’s developed and why we use this one.

Also, you might take a look at the SnapTrader blog.  There are lots of articles there on trading systems, how they work, and even how they are developed. Specifically the areas that talk about Quantitative Trading, and the MultiStage Trading System may be helpful.  And if all else fails, Google is your best friend.  After spending many years developing the systems we trade, we are confident that our numbers will look great when exposed the public, so give them a good shake and send us a note if you have questions.
